01About me
Who you'll be working with
I'm a countertenor, and I've spent the last twenty years singing on stages like the Metropolitan Opera, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Theater an der Wien and the Salzburg Festival. Everything I teach comes out of that... what it actually takes to build a technique that holds up night after night, in a real house, with a real orchestra.
Alongside the stage I've taught for close to fifteen years, in my own studio and as a guest teacher at the University of Mainz, Marist College and Hunter College in New York. I've worked with singers at every level, from people finding their voice for the first time to established professionals, including fellow countertenors who wanted to refine what they already do.
02How I teach
Every voice is different
I don't believe there is one right way to sing. My job is to help you find the sound that is honestly yours rather than the one somebody once told you you should have.
Most of the work is physical. Breath, alignment, and the tension habits that quietly limit what a voice can do. When we find where you can be more efficient, the layers you never needed start to fall away and the instrument gets easier... more resonance, more flexibility, more expression, with less effort.

04Lessons
One hour, one to one
Sixty minutes built around your voice and what you want from it. If you're just starting, we begin with the instrument itself. If you're preparing auditions, we work the repertoire. Either way we'll cover breath support, resonance, vowels, alignment, range and style, and you'll leave with something concrete to practise.
